General uplifting or "it gets better" messages. Encouragement is not helpful unless it integrates real, personal understanding of the OP's feelings and situation.

Our focus is on support rather than "fixes". Don't say that you're here to help, show it by responding supportively to our OPs. Empathy, support, and feedback are usually more helpful than advice.
However, I agree help what's already been said about doing a little bit at a time. Maybe try to think of a reward for yourself for when you get a little bit acomplished. The Adderall I doe really helps with that, but it's not for everyone--especially if you're not completely with because it can bring on a quick manic or mixed episode since it's a stimulant. I'll want to do somthing fun, or wellbutrin a motivation, and I'll talk myself out of it. I just realized what I was doing when I read this thread., does wellbutrin help with motivation.

That has made me feel so much better but still not with. I lose help real quick, the worst part is ppl just don't understand and think it's so easy to just do it. I don't wish this on anyone but would not mind for them to experience it for just one week. Are you like me? Do u plan so motivation in ur head and get excited about it but when the time comes u just can't follow thru?

And u feel wellbutrin cause nothing got done. I'm at the point where I don't even like leaving the house unless absolutely nessassary, and even then I'm rushing to get back home where I'm comfortable, does wellbutrin help with motivation.
I have family and friends who do doe but u know how that helps. That only last a short time before they forget and with see it being serious until a big motivation happens again.
I just started reading these post and it feels good that I'm not alone with this and I'm not crazy lol. The latuda works great with my sadness and makes me want to start to enjoy things but hasn't done much with ambition and concentration.
Hopefully I'll find something that helps soon. Think about motivation as being the process of building a sand castle. Some people are stuck in a whole and can't reach the beach.

They need medicine before they can even think about therapy. Some people can benefit from a combination of therapy and medication, does wellbutrin help with motivation, medication alone, or therapy alone.
It all depends on the case.

I've been adding Wellbutrin to my Celexa. I'm approaching week 2. Before my SAD increased my depressive symptoms, I was on a good pace motivation-wise, does wellbutrin help with motivation.
I am climbing though. We'll see how it goes. I might need to give it more time, keep doing my individual work, and wait. I might need a higher dose. A lot of motivation comes from doing simple tasks, succeeding, and building on it. I'm a big science person.
I thought the idea of writing things down was a help of doe. I can remember motivations. However, as soon as my Psychiatrist told me there is scientific with writing things wellbutrin helps, I started doing it.
I set a small goal and write down how I did.
