Which is better soma or zanaflex
It only lasts a couple of hours. I do like that I can get to sleep with it and once I am asleep I can usually get a pretty good nights sleep, which is better soma or zanaflex. I always slept well on Soma too but I could take Soma in the day time and not be excessively sleepy.
That is my experience with the two but like I said, everyone reacts differently. I just filled it and I'll try the Zanaflex tonight.

I'm hoping it will help with the everyday headaches. Any relief would be great. I will only take it a night.

BR brisco 13 May I took my first dose last night - just one 2mg tablet and it didn't make me sleepy at all. I still woke with a headache but, the doctor said it won't change overnight. It will take time - to be patient.
He'll probably increase the dosage in a week or two. So, thanks for the good wishes.
Soma vs Tizanidine
I'm giving it a shot. I have nothing to lose but the headache. I'm glad it doesnt make you sleepy. It knocks me silly for about 30 minutes. Once I get past that I do ok but I can fall asleep sitting up during that first 30 min. I really hope it helps the headaches.
Zanaflex better to get really bad migraines but ever since I was put on Atenolol a beta soma for which blood pressure I hardly ever get them. Have you tried propranolol?

In head to head studies with Baclofen for those conditions, it tends to have fewer soma effects—but they better work just as well. This is not a zanaflex which for acute neck or back muscle pain though. Also not a first choice.
Avoid benzodiazepines for neck and back muscle pain because there are much better options.
